Ans: Here the game refers to narrator’s pretence that he can see with his eyes , though he is blind Ans Ruskin Bond’s short story ” The Eyes Have It ‘ is a fine short story of two blind youngsters . The narrator of the story was travelling on a train to Mussoorie . He had a young blind girl as co – passenger . They were conversing about the scenic beauty of the hills of Mussoorie in October . 

  During this month , the hills are covered with wild dahlias . The sun is mild and delicious . At night , one can enjoy this beauty by sitting in front of a logfire with a sip of brandy There are less number of tourists and the roads are quiet and almost deserted .

But he was charmed with the perfume of her hair . The girl got down at Saharanpur . And the narrator was deeply thinking about the girl . This was the reverie . 

  The narrator’s reverie was broken as a new passenger entered into the compartment . The narrator was really startled .

In reply the narrator remarked that she was an interesting girl and asked him if her hair was long or short . The man was puzzled at the question and said that it was her eyes that attracted his attention and not her hair . Her eyes were very beautiful but they were of no use to the girl because she was completely blind . He asked the narrator if he had not noticed it . The narrator was very much shocked to learn this as he had conversed with the girl for so long yet he was not aware of it .
